Our 0.96 inch range currently covers 5 part numbers at 128x64, driven by SSD1306 over MCU, 3/4-wire SPI and I2C, in white or blue. It is the most widely stocked size in the range, with four part numbers to choose from.

Mechanical details

The standard build measures 26.7 x 19.26 x 1.3 mm with an active area of 21.74 x 10.86 mm, which is the number you need for the bezel cut-out. Panel thickness stays around 1.2 to 1.4 mm for the monochrome builds, so the module sits almost flush behind the cover window.

Interface and driver

These modules run on the SSD1306, and the interface options are MCU, 3/4-wire SPI and I2C. On the I2C builds only four pins are needed (VCC, GND, SCL, SDA), which is why this size is common in Arduino, ESP32 and STM32 projects as well as in production hardware. The parallel builds suit hosts that already drive a character display and need a drop-in upgrade.

Where this size fits

Typical uses are wearables, smart meters, handheld testers and Arduino or STM32 projects. Choose the 0.69 inch version if space is tighter; choose the 1.3 inch version if you need more readable text.

What resolution does the 0.96 inch size come in?

Can I run this size from an Arduino or ESP32?

Yes. Choose an I2C part number and the wiring is four pins; libraries for SSD1306, SH1106 and SH1107 are widely available. SPI builds give a faster refresh for animation but need two more pins.

Is a wide temperature version available?

Selected part numbers in this size are built for -40 °C to +80 °C operation. Tell us the ambient range your product has to survive and we will confirm which builds are qualified for it.

What can be customised?

On this size we regularly adjust the FPC length and pinout, the connector type, the cover glass and the adapter PCB. Changes to the glass itself need tooling, so they only make sense at volume - we will say so honestly rather than quote an unrealistic MOQ.
